67 Pet Sayings for a Eulogy and/or Funeral - LifeSong Milestones
Are you having trouble writing a eulogy or preparing a funeral speech? Talking about death can be an extremely emotional and touchy subject. Having to speak at a funeral can be even more difficult. If you feel the pressure, consider using memorial quotes in your speech. Because sometimes, quotes about love, loss, and life, express exactly what we are feeling or trying to say, but in a more eloquent way than we could manage ourselves.

Here are several memorial sayings that you can incorporate into your eulogy or discussions to help yourself and others deal with grief. We’ve split them into categories: cute, humorous, religious, inspirational, uplifting, sad, sentimental, sweet and wise.

Stephen, I am deeply sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved Kenji. Your words reflect the profound bond and immense love you shared with him. The pain of saying goodbye is unimaginable, and the echoes of such a moment are haunting. You are not alone in feeling this. Kenji was clearly much more than just a pet; he was family, a guardian, and a source of comfort. It’s evident that he brought immeasurable joy and security to your life. Though his final moments were painful, please find solace in the incredible life and love you gave each other. Your wish for one more day with him to say goodbye is so deeply understood. Please know that Kenji’s spirit will always be with you and his legacy of loyalty and love will remain in your heart forever. May Kenji rest in peace, and may you find comfort in knowing that he knew how deeply he was loved.
If I may, I’d like to recommend an article that could help with your grieving process – https://www.lifesongmilestones.com/blogs/blogs/7-stages-of-grief-after-losing-your-pet Peace be with you my friend.

Yesterday my protector, guardian and son passed away aged 12 and 8 months. The pain left in our hearts is colossal and I see no filling that. Our wonderful boy looked over us through out his life making sure no harm ever came to us. The pain watching him suffer up to his passing is something I can never go through again. His passing albeit was much needed just one more day with him just to say our goodbyes would have been all I would have asked for. I re live the moment over and over again when I found him and it haunts me as I held him and cried for him to wake. Ive lost many dogs over the years but he was the one and only. We miss him so so much but selfishly wish he was here with me now. God bless you Kenji you have no idea of the love we had for you. Goodbye my son.

I have to euthanize my friend fur buddy tomorrow. I feel torn in half and tossed in a wind storm. I try to find reason but there is none other than preventing suffering of my little companion of 15 years. I took it for granted we had many years left but it is only hours. Thank you so much for these quotes, I think now I can make it through the night without crying continuously. Hope you all a beautiful new Year. John Mitchell, tossed in a wind storm.

What a wonderful page. Thank you. My contribution: Dogs believe their humans are flawless. Or, at least, they have the decency not to point out their human’s flaws.
